Minnie M. Beels (Alonzo3, Jane2, John1) was born May 31, 1864, in Sheboygan, Wis. Her father moved to Iowa in the spring of 1869. She attended the public schools in Independence, Iowa, until 1876, when her father removed to a farm near Jesup, where he resided until 1880, when he returned to Independence. Minnie then learned dressmaking and millinery and engaged in these occupations until her marriage. She was married Sept. 26, 1886, to Guy Elmer Bunce who was born May 16, 1863, in Lyndon, Sheboygan Co., Wis. They made their home on a farm at Shady Grove, near Jesup, Iowa, where all of their children were born. Mrs. Bunce united with the M. E. church when she was 14 years old. In 1910 she took the Chautauqua School of Nursing course and is now serving as a trained nurse.

William A. Bunce (Minnie4, Alonzo3, Jane2, John1) had his birth at Shady Grove, Iowa, on May 4, 1889. His early life was spent on his father's farm. He was married on Sept. 9, 1908, to Miss M. Hunter.
