Mary E. Engle Bacon

Mary E., (Margaret3, Sarah2, John1) the seventh child of Margaret and John Engle, was born Dec. 26, 1858, at Tekonsha, Mich. Her early years were spent on her father's farm there.

She became the bride of William P. Bacon on Jan. 1, 1877. They made their home in Benton Harbor, Mich. Mr. Bacon is a contractor and builder. He still lives in Benton Harbor. Mrs. Bacon died Oct. 7, 1898.

Orson E. (Mary4, Margaret3, Sarah2, John1) is the oldest son of Mary E. and William P. Bacon, and was born July 14, 1879. Having secured a common school education he learned the carpenter's trade and follows that occupation. He was married April 24, 1899, to Miss Agnes L. Kingsland. They reside in Benton Harbor, Mich. They have no children.

William P., (Mary4, Margaret3, Sarah2, John1) second son of Mary E. and William P. Bacon, was born June 26, 1880. He is a carpenter by occupation. He was married to Miss Lillian M. Peters on Oct. 7, 1907. Their home is in Benton Harbor, Mich.

Fred B. (Mary4, Margaret3, Sarah2, John1) is the third child of Mary E. and William P. Bacon, Sr. His birth occurred Aug. 30, 1885. Having finished his education in the grammar school he chose carpentry for his occupation. On Nov. 25, 1908 he took as his wife Miss Ethel Drehr. Their home is in Benton Harbor, Mich.
